Reiki for Animals 1.5hr home visit

Service Description

Gentle, intuitive Reiki for animals within the comfort and familiarity of their own environment. For animals who would benefit from an in-person treatment, I offer a limited number of visits for pets and animal sanctuaries. A home treatment allows your animal to remain within familiar surroundings without the stress of travelling to a clinic. I allow plenty of time for the appointment so that neither you nor your animal feels hurried. Your visit includes approximately 1 hr 15 mins of Reiki, together with at least 15 mins to talk about your beloved companion and any concerns you would like to share, plus time afterwards to gently conclude the session and say goodbye. Your animal chooses how Reiki is received. Respect for animal agency is central to the way I work. An in-person Reiki treatment does not mean that your animal has to be touched, handled or persuaded to remain still. Some animals enjoy gentle hands-on Reiki. Others prefer my hands to hover at a comfortable distance, or may choose to settle elsewhere in the room while receiving the treatment. I follow the animal's cues and adapt accordingly. Where direct proximity is not welcomed or appropriate, I can also work using a toy dog, cat or other representation as a proxy. This allows me to continue the energetic treatment while respecting the animal's boundaries and personal space. Reiki is offered, never imposed. My interest in animal well-being extends beyond Reiki. I am also trained in canine gait and stance assessment and hydrotherapy, which gives me an additional perspective when observing how a dog moves, stands and uses their body. I am currently undertaking further training in the Waldrup Somatic Method for Dogs. Once qualified, I intend to offer this as an additional service and will be able to teach owners techniques they can use with their own dogs. I favour a collaborative approach to animal care: where appropriate and with the owner's consent, the different professionals involved in an animal's health and well-being can communicate and work alongside one another, each contributing within their own area of expertise. Home visits are priced differently from distant treatments because I reserve a substantial period of my working day for each appointment, including travelling to and from your home. Areas covered: Brighton & Hove, Lewes, Eastbourne, Worthing, Crawley, Shoreham, Seaford. Further afield price on request. Reiki is a complementary practice and does not replace vet care.
